How is the drivers rating calculated???
#1
Hello
my current rating is 267,89. After 20 Races I have tried to recalculate the rating points.

But when I sum all the best results each track and competition, I get more than 300 points (all after substrating the inc. minus points). Any idea how it is calculated? Or is it a secret allgorythm which cant be explained???

Secret algorithm that could be explained, but never is.

Score and rating are two different things, I guess. The score is used just for the "series" you are running in, so you get x points and you end up in y position at the end of the series. The rating is a general value related to you. I think I have read somewhere that your rating increases if you end the race in front of people with higher rating than yours? I don't know.

Yeah, someone on reddit was claiming that the system was straight up Elo (i.e. like chess) where you start with a certain score, and it goes up and down based on who you beat and who beats you. Doesn't seem like the case since you start at 0 and it goes up to 1000. I don't think anyone's ever been to the negatives, but I don't really keep up with folks that can't keep the car on the road for more than 1 lap. Big Grin

Well, almost 200 drivers are below zero in the current classification. It must be cold down there...
