I am always trying to brake later and glide through corners at speed rather than taking later apexes at slower speed to get on the throttle faster. I KNOW that I should be doing the latter, but I never implement it.

Yeah me too. It's because it feels slower at the time, even though logic tells you it's quicker.

Without the use of p2p. Even using p2p I can't beat that time.

Thanks for taking the time to make that. Will compare it to mine later.

I gave your setup a go last night. It felt much more stable than mine but maybe down a bit on mid corner grip. Lap times about the same as using my setup so we're probably wasting our time here ha.

I actually spend more time messing about with the FOV and driving position than I do with car setups. I'm never fully satisfied with how it looks. I tried iRacing, it looks fine. I tried R3E, it looks fine. In AC something always feels off with the perspective.

The last race for the Audi TT Cup at Red Bull Ring just finished, but I'll get some mileage out of your setup nonetheless! Time for Road America.

where exactly do we put these .ini set up files once we unzip them?

Edit nevermind....I fingered it out.

All I can say is WOW!!!

I downloaded the file that was shared in the first post and went from 11th on RSR Live Timing at Road America in the Audi TT to 8th. More importantly, I went from doing high 2:20's to a best of 2:19xx and banged out 6 consecutive laps in the low 2:20's

I was about to hang it up in the Audi TT Cup because it was boring driving this slug that pushed and plowed through every corner. Now this is actually a bit of fun to drive!

P.S. for anyone else wondering where to put the .ini set up files go to: Documents/Assetto Corsa/setups/(then select the track folder)

Haha

You mean 2:20's right? I did some laps this morning with my RBR setup and got a best lap just under 2:19. But that lap started by losing 0.3 in the first section so I'm sure there's plenty left for the taking by the end of the week. Wouldn't be surprised to see the front runners doing 2:15 or 2:16.

How do you pass the time on those long straights? The one after T2 must be about a minute long..

I wondering a bit about camber. If I want better grip in the curves, should I move the bar against left or right?
Will a value like -3.0 give me better grip in long turns than lets say -2.0?

Glad you liked the setup Smile. My current Road america setup is attached. Not done a race yet but can do 2.19.0** in testing.

Erik general rule is more negative camber the more corner grip you get. But you loose acceleration and braking grip. Also the more negative camber the hotter the tires will get.
Best thing to do is experiment and see what works for you.

The server uses mid clear weather and 20 degrees Celsius.
