This is getting ridiculous, as much as i love this , i'm finding out, it can change things permanently whether you use it or not to start AC,unless you know where to go to change them back. More updates is a good thing, but it is unfortunate you are experiencing settings changes you don't want. Have you emailed him about it? I've been back and forth with him about the joining problem and he's got a fix about to be released that does successfully allow users to pick liveries again.

I don't have to touch anything after any update, so maybe you should check what's wrong with your installation

I tried that "experimental "steering lock or something and on this new update it is greyed out..I ended up going back to an old settings folder from different computer and fixed it but everytime i try the new install with CM, it does it again,

I'm having the same problem. Worked fine last week.
CM is a great app and I couldn't live without it, but it's too bad SRS doesn't work anymore...

register in SRS app in AC launcher. then you can join from CM afterwards.

CM is now live with a new update that makes the SRS tab SUPER wonderful. You just have to enable the CefSharp plugin to get it to work, but it is super quick and seems to solve all of the problems in the last week.

I have to report the following error:

I was registered to a race via CM.
After I joined SRS told me, that I had to download new skins.
I used the restart button and my registration was canceled.

I was not able to get into the race after this.

So be careful with loading new skins.

I will report it to the CM-developers. Hope they can fix ist.
