Get a Free* Custom Livery for Your Next Race! ON EXTENDED HIATUS!
#10
I fumbled around for a good two hours last night trying to figure out how to paint onto multiple meshes imported into Blender, but my background is in Photoshop and Maya. Blender is very different from Maya in a lot of ways... even if you select the "Maya" controls.

I am now attempting to do the same in Mudbox which is also under the Autodesk umbrella, so there are a lot of similarities to Maya. But more importantly, there's a SOMEWHAT useful youtube tutorial HERE

I say somewhat useful because he does a few things the very hard way. For instance, there's a real easy way to mirror your painting so that whatever you paint on one side of the car shows up on the other side automatically. He's doing stuff like taking a screenshot to "help line up" a flipped copy of the image on the other side.

Hell, I might even do my own tutorial for how to go from nothing to something. The existing tutorials out there are a bit dated. No promises though.
