I've had real world logos on probably every skin I've constructed and no complaints from anyone. I don't think there are any rules regarding custom skin contents at all, so long as it doesn't go over the 10MB limit.
I'm certainly not recommending you make a livery with a bunch of dongs all over it, mind.
I do like to incorporate the SRS Logo in all the liveries I make that will transfer over the SRSSkin app, when I can.
