Nope you have to lift the throttle, in fact you don´t need to but it sounds really stupid if your´re shifting without lifting.
This all happens in milliseconds anyways, so it really doesn´t matter. It just feels weired when you don´t lift while shifting a h pattern shifted car.
The method with clutch and paddles is probably also not the easiest thing to learn.
