How to save replays
#1
Salute,
I would like to be able to capture the action from some of my races.
I use Content Manager to launch SRS
Could someone please outline the process they go through to capture the reply. I have tried exiting the server once the race has finished before the session has rolled over but I am obviously doing something wrong or its right there in front of me!
Your advice & guidance is appreciated
Colin

This is how I do it, and I use Content Manager as well. There's probably other ways to accomplish this, but this workflow works for me:
  1. Open Content Manager and click on SETTINGS:

  2. Select the MISCELLANEOUS tab on the left.
  3. Increase Max Size to something you are comfy with (I like the max of 1000MB)
  4. Enable Autosave replays.
  5. Adjust limits to what you are comfy with (I like only saving sessions 30 seconds or longer, and only keeping 5 of each type of replay... you'll see why in a second).

  6. Get in a race, come in first with zero incidents, preferably
    (404 ERROR; IMAGE NOT FOUND)
  7. Open Assetto Corsa proper (as there is no way to view replays from within Content Manager that I know of... I think he's working on it?) and select Main Menu:

  8. Select Replay tab on left.

  9. Select VIEW AUTOSAVED button at the top.

  10. Find your winning race among other autosaved replays and click on it to select it.

  11. Click the SAVE SELECTED button at the top. This will move the replay from a temp folder to your saved folder and you will be taken back to that list.

  12. Find your newly saved replay and click on it. Then click on LOAD to view it.

And that's it! If you want to upload your masterpiece to Youtube, I recommend OBS (Open Broadcast Software). Lots of tutorials on how to set that up to record gameplay. Enjoy!

You can watch replays in CM.

Media-->Replays-->View Replay iirc.

Wow, I thought I had clicked on every menu and submenu in this program. Thanks! This will save me quite a bit of time as the default launcher is unstable as hell on my machine for some reason.
