Any interest in racing paid mods?
#1
I was wondering if there are enough people here willing to race payed mods?
Seeing as there are quite some good mods out there that unfortunatly cost money but are really well done.
The F2 / GP2 mod comes to mind: http://racesimstudio.com/formula-rss-2-profile Its only 4 bucks so cant go wrong there.
Also the DTM cars from United racing design are very cool: https://www.unitedracingdesign.net/assetto-corsa
Would love to race these cars with you guys Big Grin!

I don't agree. For me the best thing of this system is that it is free. If we have to pay for new cars every season, then there is iRacing...
I'm sure those mods are amazing, but in my opinion there are enough content in game, in fact, I didn't try most of the DLCs cars that I paid for.
Once again, this is just my opinion, a few seasons ago there was a championship with a non free mod and it was populated Wink

We had a championship with the RSS Formula Hybrid a few months age (was quite fun btw Wink ).
But can't say we were a lot of drivers.
Their cars are very good, but I can understand people don't want to put more money in additional cars.
(even if I think RSS cars are worth the money)

Indeed, there are so many cars/tracks to try before (including free mods/DLC/even base content).

And that's far from the money some of us put into simracing  ( triple screens, VR, wheels, shifters, etc ... Numbers can add quite fast .. I'm guilty Tongue    )

I see where you're coming from but for me a payed mod feels more like a dlc car, which allot of us probably have bought and will continue to buy in the future. If the car is good that is!

It would be great if the majority of offered events is made up with original content and free mods.
I dont see a reason though not to do occasional special events using paid mods.
Some of them are truly outstanding.

Give RSS GT1 a chance.

RSS Formula 2 and the RSS Formula 4 are ridiculously well done, they're fantastic to race in.

I think comparing it to iRacing is completely different, these cars are $4 instead of $15 or whatever iRacing charges, and on top of that you won't take a hit for needing to buy tracks too...

I'd be up for an RSS F4 event to be organised, let people get used to those before you slap them in the Formula 2 that can be super twitchy under braking and accelerating if you just lay on the power.

RSS GT1 would be interesting with 1 hour races after all 6 cars are released.

I agree. The drivers will decide if it is a good idea or not...Paying or not. Give them a possibility to choice.

New guy here. I would gladly race the RSS cars. They're well polished and I already own them. Smile
