[AMS2] Mitsubishi Lancer RS - Donny MacGarry vs Plank Liveries vs Pollinflas
#1
Myself, Plank Liveries (Michael Martin) and Sergio Mendez (Pollinflas) will be hosting a new Automobilista 2 championship. This championship will be on Mondays at 17:00 UTC (so two hours before our AC championship) and will use the Mitsubishi Lancer RS. The schedule is as follows:
  • 2nd May: Spielberg GP
  • 9th May: Salvador
  • 16th May: Londrina Long
  • 23rd May: Cadwell Park Full Circuit
  • 30th May: VIR Full Course
  • 6th June: Adelaide 1988
The Mitsubishi Lancer RS is the faster of the two cars in the Lancer Cup category and uses a sequential shifter. Myself and Sergio where racing the car together a few weeks ago, and he had so much fun that he demanded that I use it for the next championship Big Grin . The championship will use some real weather too, where races are set for the current date of the race at 1pm in-game time.

Myself, Michael and Sergio will be streaming the races or making videos about them, so be sure to check it out. We'll also be on the SRS discord voicechat during the race, so feel free to join in if you are racing. I'll do my best to help out if you are having any issues
Make sure you have a check mark on the Automobilista 2 item in your profile to allow you to see the races on the race page. You won't be able to see them on the AC app or in CM for AC if I remember correctly, but you can see them if you open up SRS on a web browser or the AMS2 SRS app. Follow the steps to download the AMS2 SRS app as there are a few things you need to do. Take note, that unlike with the AC races, if you leave the server early then your result from the AMS2 SRS race won't be logged. This happens even if you leave the race after you have finished but before the server has closed. So just wait a few minutes until you get a message that says you have been disconnected from the server, then you are free to leave.

My friend who drove this car in another championship has messaged me saying that the Lancer is pretty stable with TC/ABS turned off and that leaving them on will slow us down. So it might be worth trying out the car with those set off in the setup.

Also, the release candidate for 1.3.6 has been released and I imagine that pretty soon this will be implemented into the main build. This invlolves a bunch of physics changes and the devs recommend resetting the default setup (it mightn't apply to the Lancer, but its not a bad idea to try when 1.3.6 officially launches). This can be done by clicking Reset to Default in the setup menu. I would also recommend deleting the setups folder "Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\<numbers>\automobilista 2\tuningsetups"
