So unfortunately the 1.3.4 update coming out just before yesterday's race completely messed up the event. A 1.6GB download which then had to patch over 35GB of game data meant it took quite a while for some of us to install, including myself (and then after I got it downloaded, I had an issue where I couldn't connect with the SRS server). Thanks to all those who got it downloaded quickly, but waited patiently in the lobby without Readying up, giving others as much of a chance to join in. Instead of starting at about 18:00 UTC, the session started at about 18:20. The server is set to automatically end after a certain point, but due to the unexpected late start, the server ended up closing just after the halfway point of the race. The race isn't going to be run again so its null and voided, which is a bit of a deflating way to end this championship, but it happens sometimes. We were just unlucky that Reiza released a pretty big update a couple minutes before the event was meant to happen, I don't think there is anything we could have done.

Congrats to Michael Laws on a championship win, Jussi Neirola for coming 2nd and Matija Rasinec for coming 3rd. Big thanks to everyone who took part in this championship. It was good to see double digit numbers each week.

We will be running a new AMS2 championship starting next week, so keep your eyes out for that (and try out the Opala 1986 Stock Car if you are very eager, cough, cough, hint, hint).

Firstly, thanks for organising this championship. Secondly, thanks to those who waited patiently in the lobby yesterday for the people still stuck updating.
Shame the last race was cut short. Jussi and I were nose to tail the entire race until the server cut out. It was really intense.
I'll be back for future series but I will sit the next one out because I need a break from gettng up before 5am and I have some work I want to do on the rig too.
Looking forward to joining everyone again in the future.

The Good thing is if it happens again, we know to get the server running before 10minutes past to allow time for it to finish.
