Show us your liveries for next season.

I need a new mouse so thanks for the tip!
Still getting my head round the way of working but on my 2nd attempt at that Porsche was about 2 hours (3-4 before). Already made the yellow/black design in 2d and applied it in the same way as your camo.
Did the Cobra tonight in a few hours as well.
Is certainly going to speed up team skins. Got lots of designs I have wanted to try that aren't possible in 2d.

Decided to do the Tatuus series. Went a European F3 direction even though it's not the Dallara, close enough though. The side stripe might be better further back but I didn't fancy aligning it all up, the map's laid out a bit funnily and I haven't taken the time to get into this 3D painting business

We all have to start somewhere.
That's a great job on a 2d template

This was one of those cars i was dreading in 2d because of the curves.
This pictures shows how 3d painting comes into its own!

I haven't done this method in a long time, but one of the really cool things you can do with Mudbox/Photoshop is export your current camera position to a PSD, then paint right on top of the 2d image created, then re-import it back to Mudbox from the same camera position as a stencil. Not sure if that would have made the above example easier or not, but it's a really cool option. Especially if you want to do some doodling using better line art tools found in Photoshop. Check out the first part of this vid:

Thats a very cool feature and one i can see coming in handy when making new stencils. For the cobra already had the generic stencil made. Just a few bits to tidy up and make it fit.

Also the 2 shape stencils you use come in so handy. I looked at them and though nah i'll never use them but the are so use full for tidying bits up.

'F' gets used a lot for focusing the camera.

Thanks. Been making my own AC skins since release, and have been painting in general since '04 I think. I just haven't bothered with the 3D stuff. If the map is good enough 2D is no problem.

How do I upload new version of a skin? I did some minor changes to my Lotus, and it shows fine on my end, but on YT it's still the old one. Do I need to create a whole new one or...? Ingame app says that my skin is fine.

Sometimes it can take a few races for it to update. If not raise a post in the bugs forum and srs can look into it.

This is the thread you want to take a look at for your particular issue:

The trick is to simply make a full copy of your current skin folder, delete your old one, and rename your new one to the correct name. This definitely works (I've done is dozens of times now).
