Too many racing with bonnet view.

I only race in cockpit view, anything else would be total immersion breaker and no fun at all. But thats just me. I wouldn´t want to be strapped to a bonnet or fly over my car while controlling it. Just seems wrong Wink
Forced cockpit levels playing field. Good argument.
I´m for it

I say let people race with whatever they feel most comfortable with, allows them to get the most out of their car, and above all else lets them feel safe and comfortable and have fun.

Crazy, right?

Yes, let people play the game with their driving view of choice.

I actually think SRS should force cockpit view since when you use helicorsa and bonnet view it is objectively the best and faster way on certain cars. Thus making it unfair too the ones keeping it real.

You can race in wingman view for all I care, just do your best not to hit me Wink

i race cockpit view. if you think about it wingman would give you the best view of cars around you.

That's simply not true. All the really fast sim racers race in cockpit view, if any other view would give any advantage, they wouldn't race in cockpit view.

Racing with Helicorsa is like, the opposite of realism. It's borderline cheating IMO, playing without it you have to check your mirrors during your battles, which makes you lose some time (as it is in real life).

Without car radar I wouldn't be able to have any close, clean racing (I would be a danger to others) as I only have 1 small monitor and I can't see any mirrors in the car. I use the virtual mirror but the viewing angle is so small that I'm mostly blind. Is this more realistic? Maybe, but I don't play for extreme realism, I play to have fun racing other people in cars that feel semi realistic.

Helicorsa/Car Radar simulates what you very much would have in real life, which is situational awareness. In real life, even in a big helmet and surrounded by your racing seat protectors on either side, you can pick up thousands of tiny hints about what is going on around you via reflections in mirrors, reflections in glass, on dash board elements... along with audio cues you get spatially that not a lot of video games simulate all that well. You get very little of those in a video game, and if you only have a single monitor there is a giant gaping hole in your situational awareness that you really should have in order to race up close and personal with other humans in any decent capacity.

In other words, it isn't cheating. It's something every sim should have on by default the second you are in a multiplayer situation.
