hello, I've been running for some time now, but until yesterday I had never realized that in the race sometimes some runner appears as a kind of standing next to the ping, what does that mean and why?

Pues eso,al lado del ping cuando entras en las carreras si os fijais sale un pie aveces a algunos corredores,que significa eso y porque sale? gracias a todos
