Championships SRS

Lotus 25  serie was great and surprisingly popular...There were much less accidents I think , and a lot of gentleman driver...
A historic championship would be great for daily ... Like Ford Escort , Alfa GTA , ferrari 250gto or Porsche RSR 1974

I am 120% for old cars, and there is plenty of them

Demanding but seemingly boring cars always attract the better or "more gentlemanly" racers.
Amazing list of awesome achievements: 5th Lotus 25 2018, 4th DRM 2019, 5th Williams FW14 vs. Ferrari 643 2019, 3rd Ferrari 312T vs. Lotus 72D 2020

one thing I missed so much in other sims I did in the past are the "regulars" as they call it. As cars come and go here, the drivers also does and as OP said, the fields are ridiculous and so far apart in terms of pace and driving standard. As for a main stay car, drivers tend to be the same ones and in time, they get to know each other a lot more and develop respect and less aggressive racing. Think of it like a real life race series and the same people race every year, maybe 2 or 3 rookies as 2 or 3 retires. It's fun knowing who you're racing with every time, it makes you plan the next race more and more as the competition gets tighter. As cars and drivers seems to come and go here, the fields are always unpredictable.

If no variety the more people leave...
I'm fairly new but the names are usually familiar in server 1. I'm racing the same people in the whole season...

Tatuus was a returning car in Srs I think and fixed setup...  a lot of accident in this serie so I don't think that a "regular"  serie improve anything...
Just boring like iracing Smile  and more people will leave ..

In my opinion, to prevent people from leaving is that there were no communities, calm, I explain:

Imagine that there was no AC or Raceroom community.
Imagine that we were all in SRS competing in the championships of the seasons set.
Obviously, we would have private championships but the community of simracers would be formed mainly by teams, free simracers, etc ...

I think that with such a high participation if we would see in SRS practice servers, fixed and other alternate championships, interface improvements, etc ...
This is just a utopia, but I think basic iRacing works like this.
