GT86 Red Bull Ring lap guide & setup - Hugo Matos - 12-21-2019 Apologies for delay. https://youtu.be/1UV1aAZvWHQ RE: GT86 Red Bull Ring lap guide & setup - Russell Sobie - 12-21-2019 Thanks for the video, Hugo! If anything, your laptime being a good half a second better than my best while you abuse the lack of track penalties on Red Bull is a good reason to not bother including this track in the future on SRS in my opinion. Going that wide on turn 1 and the game allowing it makes that already stupidly dangerous turn even more dangerous in traffic when half the grid is touching the left wall on approach while the other half is taking a real racing line. I think for setup the most surprising thing to me was all that negative toe. If there's one thing I don't understand on setups, it's toe. I'll give those changes a shot for sure. Totally agree with abusing track limits, its possible to do 1:03 lows with running that wide on turn 1 , just use green path on left hand side of rumble strip,NO more than that, use ABS off and you will see how the car slows down a lot better on green strip. I admit its not the brightest lap ive posted, specially Turn 1, but I just thought I should reveal the cheat to make it fair on those whom maybe aren't aware of that gain and make it fair play to all drivers As for track limits, this particular track should be banned from SRS, Turn 1 on Paul Richards have the same problem. The reason for my TOE values for this particular track were purely to help power down safer and early from turn 2 into 3, a car with low power as GT86 you would think 0.0 values are sort of a must for speed but not always is the best solution, if you don't like and feel to much understeer , decrease rear camber+TOE noch by noch till you set your desired point Always be proud to use the track in the appropriate way bud, even if makes you a wee slower, as I said my video was made in a rush as I been really busy and I wanted to make fair play to all as the race I entered I saw the top 5 drivers doing the same..... RE: GT86 Red Bull Ring lap guide & setup - Alex Leif - 12-21-2019 Yep sadly RBR is just ridiculous to try and race when people are able to do that. If only the wall was closer to the kerb I can say for sure a 1.03.0 is possible without cutting, but yeah I think there is about 0.5 available easily if you are willing to cheat. Yep totally agree bud, personally I will keep exposing exploits like this for fair play until Admin decide what to do next RE: GT86 Red Bull Ring lap guide & setup - Sergio Mendez - 12-21-2019 Everybody can do as they want but my decision is to skip RBR races until track limits are fixed. It's totally unrealistic drive like that. RE: GT86 Red Bull Ring lap guide & setup - Michal Janak - 12-21-2019 i did 1:03.484 in race not cheating |
