Kinda upset that the server thought I need the mini BMW for a F3 race so I couldn't join..... really hope I don't get suspended over that.

no suspension but you do lose some rating points.
delete the launcherdata folder at mydocs/assetto corsa

I had this happen when I tried to participate in an Audi TT Cup race this afternoon. Deleted the launcherdata folder, but it still wouldn't let me join.

did you restart AC after deleting?
you can always join by AC lobby, just search simracingsystem
