I'm wondering more and more what the purpose of training is. In a session today, the track was at 95%, i.e. the car (BMW M3) was a bar of soap, every braking point has to be grossly anticipated, in short, its usefulness was zero. It's not always that bad but at best training will reproduce the conditions of the first three to five minutes of qualifications and that's it. So, couldn't we spare these five minutes ?

I think that those 3 first minutes are made to wait for everyone to join the server. This way if you join 1 minute after me, we both will have the same time to do the qualy.
And as the qualy starts with 95% grip, this round is good to see how the firsts laps of qualy will be, and it will probably help yot to not to screw up your first lap.

..and if you have new skins which have just transferred, it gives time to rejoin to load them and still not miss the start of quali...
