Helping Friends/teammembers in a championship - Dennis Ipenburg - 10-14-2018

Are there any rules regarding this?
I don't want to mention names or the race series, but right now there is a group of people in a daily series who go out of their way of helping each other. That becomes kind of hard to compete with if there are 5 of them in a race. In the race, they literally make way for their teammembers to pass them. As it is a daily series and different drivers of this group finish first (or end on top every time) it feels a bit like falsifying a championship.
I don't want to jump to accusations, I'm just curious if there are any rules regarding this or not ;-)

This is an interesting thought. There is nothing mentioned in the SRS rules about team orders so who knows. In daily series I can see how this could be artificial, in the weekly series though I'd say it adds an element of strategy.

On the one hand that sounds kind of bad form. But on the other hand, the stakes are so very, very low... unless they are running you off the road or ramming into you, who cares?

I think it's fine as long as they are racing cleanly.
Rolling road blocks, punting other cars off etc is a no no. But if it's just a change of position between them (Bottas/Hamilton) no problem.

Biggest thing for me is not to hit my teammates. And if they are faster than me I'll let them through. But generally if someone is alot faster I'll let them through then try to follow them.

(Teammates!!!) The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. You win some, you lose some. Paranoia will destroy ya!  I got plenty of metaphors, It just doesn't matter, Home is where the heart is. Go TPC!

Looks like you ran into the team Penske of SRS!  I have a team mate and it makes the whole experience richer, except when he beats me or crashes into same Big Grin.  Highly recommended, put out some feelers, paint some skins it only gets better.
