Mobile sign ups - Barrett Rolph - 06-05-2018
I can't count how many races now I've missed because last minute my schedule opens up and I can't get my computer turned on in time to make the 5 minute cut off to make a race. Is there mobile sign ups in the works so I can register before I turn my computer on? This would save me and I'm sure some others a lot of frustration.

That would be great. However we have to think all those who would register themselves from their phones and the forget about it and never join.

And another problem would be that if you are not already in game, SRS doesn't know if you own the correct content to join the race.

I think that would be better than people wanting to race and not making it in time to sign up. Maybe it's just the time slot I normally race in but there's already people who sign up and don't join.

Probably not going to happen. What I've done in the past is register for an evening race in the morning before I head to work, and then arrive just in time to finish up a couple of qualifying laps.
If you are worried about signing up and no-showing and losing points/stats/whatever... well... I think in your current situation you just have to shrug about it. It's either that or you never get to race, right?
The registration seems to be very much tied to being on the system that your game is installed on... at least for AC. I doubt your suggestion will come to pass.

I'd love to see this, many a race have I missed with mere minutes of slow pc ness.
If we could link our account and maybe only register for races we've previously done then that could solve the content uncertainty

This was possible in the beginning and it was a disaster.
Not even the 3 day ban for missing the race worked back then.
for the daily series you have at least 3 hours to register and for the series that run 1 single day you can register up to a week before the event.

That does bring up a good point about the daily races... I wonder if it wouldn't be too difficult to show all instances of the daily races in the next 24 hours and allow registration for them? My suggestion of registering before work and then arriving for a race right after work only works if it is one of the non-daily racing series. Is there some limitation for how those are displayed in the app or something?
