Assetto Corsa VR low fps - Alex Nelson - 03-15-2018
I recently started playing AssettoCorsa on pc with VR and I'm loving it! I have a GTX 1080 and an i7 8700. I normally get 90 fps at at all times with my current settings. Today I had my first race with SRS at Road America in the Audi TT cup cars. There were only 7 people on track but I noticed my fps was basically stuck at 45. Does anyone know why this happened? Immediately after I practice by myself at the same track and I ran it flawlessly, after that I raced at Nurburgring and ran that flawlessly as well with 12 other cars on track. Why the hiccup during the SRS race?
I'm a complete newb when it comes to PC knowledge. I've only owned my "gaming" PC for around 3 weeks, so any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

I don't really know why it should be like that on SRS and not offline but, preventively, try disabling any kind of post-processing in the AC video settings. I find they bring nothing in VR except a good drop in FPS.

I do not run any post processing settings. I ran another race tonight with SRS, a full grid DTM race at Barcelona. My fps stayed firm at 90 so maybe it was a freak thing. I didn't change any of my settings for the race either.

2 things you need to do
1) reduce post processing - if you turn them off you will not see any brake lights
2) turn off ASW - you need to start the developer sdk before you start AC

1) Start Oculus - OculusDebugTool.exe (ADMIN)
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics
2) install Natrual Graphics Mod 3.8
