I still won the race, decided by a dragrace to the finish, where I finished 0.004 seconds ahead of p2 Big Grin

LOL Smile

RE: Curb your Jumpstart - Michael Butler - 02-22-2018

I made the mistake of entering the grid while in gear on manual....it barely moved....jumpstart penalty.

RE: Curb your Jumpstart - Andreas Otto - 03-12-2018

I had a similar moment in the TT series last night.
10 seconds countdown. Depress clutch, select 1st gear, WHOA WAIT WTF THE CAR IS MOVING!
I guess I'll never get used to that auto-clutching cars. Wink

Yeah, this is really stupid in AC that you cannot use clutch on launch in an auto-clutch car. This is unlike IRL.

I not 100% sure about some of the autoclutch cars, but the TT Cup has in fact only 2 pedals.
Because the transmission is the same as in the street TT there´s also no hand operated clutch.

so it´s not AC´s fault, it´s just a driver mistake :-)

I have not had the opportunity to test it by myself again, so I ask you guys: How would you launch the TT then? Keep a foot on the brake and floor the throttle, then release the brake to start? Or will this burn the clutch?

RE: Curb your Jumpstart - Russell Sobie - 03-13-2018

Don't touch your clutch. Don't touch the brake. Don't put it into gear. Get on the throttle with full red lights, pop it into 1st when the lights go away.

This is how you do it without a clutch... my guess is you can do the same with one. Just you know... ignore that third pedal in this car.
