Mazda MX5 Cup @ Laguna Seca - Richard Dees - 01-03-2018

Just a pic from the finish line, this was one of the best race I had here so far, thanks to Javier Malonda and Sebastian Brunier for this clean battle, only one hit, I had to hit Javier or else I lose the position, that close.

In the results it appear that I lost that position lol.

Looks like he got the position anyway lol Big Grin  gotta love a close finish !!

RE: Mazda MX5 Cup @ Laguna Seca - Javier Malonda - 01-04-2018

That was awesome. We were fighting the whole race very clean and very close. By the end Sebastien joined in. I have to say it is a pleasure to drive with such great pilots around, who know where the car is and what the limits are.

In the end straight, both accelerated better than me and got closer and closer. Since Richard was blocked by Sebastien and still fighting for position, he tapped my car on the rear. Watching the replay, I think the tap sent him a few centimeters back which were decissive in the end. So close!

By the way, I watched the broadcast and it gave Richard the position...

Great pleasure, guys. Thanks for sharing your talent with me.

it almost looks like it penalized you for the tap and the bounce off the bumper caused the driver beside to go ahead ( but graphically you were still ahead @ the line).
